Christmas was a new experience for us this year. Brett was on call, so we had a very merry Louisiana Christmas of our own at home. No traveling, no extended family, just us. In a way, it was nice, no hustle and bustle, no running around from place to place, especially nice because everyone of us was recovering from a serious case of gastritis just days before Santa visited. On the other hand, it was sort of weird and a little too quiet at times, family and the craziness were missed. Either way, the four of us were together, we were lucky enough to have Brett with us all of Christmas day, we watched our sweet kids shriek with excitement as they saw what Santa brought, and we attended a beautiful sacrament meeting filled with music and an overwhelming feeling of the Spirit. I'd say it turned out to be pretty good this year.
We made a plate for Santa and left some carrots for his reindeer.
Our Christmas tree.
Christmas morning!
Gunner reading his new book.
Opening presents very intently.
We enjoyed seeing some new places and things this holiday season. We found a great spot down by the river.
We also went down to see the festival of lights in Natchitoches.
This was our try at a picture of Brett and I....maybe next time.
While walking around town we found a chair with Caroline's name on it.
I love you.
My handsome guys.
