These Three

My house is a mess, and all my head wants to do is hit the pillows. But I know the days won't last forever with these three being little. All too soon Caroline will be off to school and growing up. So, I am trying to remind myself that its okay to have things a little messy in exchange for playing dress up and making cookies, racing cars around, having dance parities and making some wonderful memories with my sweet three. They keep me on my toes. They can be the best of friends and then all be fighting over the same toy a minute later. It's not easy, but it's worth it, and I wouldn't change my life for anything. So, here's to being tired and having sticky floors.

lets catch up

Over the summer when the Fuller and Vallery families were here visiting we went to one of our favorite places- the Arboretum. It was hot and sweaty but so worth it. I have a serious love for that place. It is beautiful!!
Dad and Gunner- buds for life.
Love when the girls all get together!
Colt and grandpa.
These three girls. Love them and all their cuteness.

Recently

Lately we have been doing a lot of things to keep ourselves busy and we have had many a nights ending like this picture here of Caroline. Too tuckered out to even finish one of her favorite books. With Brett gone so much for work and only being home with us on the occasional weekend we try to keep active.
We've been at this for about two and half months now and I have yet to blog about it. The short version is that Brett got a promotion and is moving from working out in the field as a technician to working in the office to management. But it requires about 6 months of training at various locations away from home. When all is said and done we will be very happy there will be no more nights and weekends on call we will have an actual 8-5 job for the most part and we couldn't be happier about getting to be with our daddy more!! We just have to keep trucking our way through this tough separation right now....I think I can, I think I can!!! Oh and also we will be relocating to somewhere when all is said and done as well. Oh life and its adventures!!
Colt man loves him some mamma time. And I'm okay with that.
Caroline in her "exercise" clothes. When I go jogging I always take the kids with me, and Caroline likes to get dressed in what she believes are good exercise clothes and run along my side instead of sit in the stroller.
These two. They are the best of friends most of the time.
Caroline and Gunner have taken to wearing Brett's shirts to bed.
Just doing some high flyin'.
And my little man looking all grown up playing with some toys.

Foote Family Reunion

July was a wonderfully fun-filled and busy month. We had a Foote family reunion at the cabin and it was so much fun!! The bigger our family gets the harder it is to have everyone together- so it was awesome.
Most of our time was spent at the lake. Grandpa and Colt became fast friends.
Gunner and Zack enjoyed playing on the shore with the logs and sticks and mud. True boys.
The kids enjoyed passing the time away with Brett in the raft.
And there were multiple tube rides with multiple people.
We spent one morning going on a canoe trip. Everyone loved it, eventhough the water was freezing.
Caroline loves Uncle Jared and Harrison.
Grandpa made these wooden cars for all the younger grandkids while we were together.
The kids all raced to see whose car was the fastest.
Dad made his famous cobbler and ice cream for all to enjoy.
Me, Lee, and Dad.
Brett found a turtle.
Of course we took family pictures. I only have this beauty of all the grandkids and grandma and grandpa right now though.
Me and the most wonderful man!!!

More Arizona

Ava and Caroline wore their matching dresses to church.
Colt became a rolling machine at the Vallery's house. He was all over the floor.
The kids loved to jump together on the trampoline when it cooled down a bit.
Gunner spent many nights jumping himself tired and ready for a good sleep. Seriously, he  rarely woke before 9.
Sarah and I did a couple of crafty projects while I was there and these cute matching skirts for Ava and Caroline were my favorite!! They wore them together the day we went to the zoo.
Gunner man driving the truck.

This was our attempt of getting a group shot with all the kids on the tractor.
Gunner and Zack were very interested in the fish.

Arizona

We headed straight to Arizona to visit LeeAnn and Sarah after Alison's wedding. Brett stayed with us for about 24 hours and then he was back to Texas for work while the kids and I stayed for a few weeks.
Brett took Caroline and Gunner on scooter rides.
They both loved it.
We did a lot of fun things, but swimming was the kids favorite. Especially because it was super hot!
We also had fun at the splash pad.
Caroline and Gunner enjoyed riding this blow up alligator at the Fullers pool.
Colt's first time in the pool. He is such a water baby. He loved it!

Utah

We started our summer off with a drive to Utah for Alison's wedding. It was a great weekend, so nice to see  all the Larsen family. And it went by way too quickly.
Things began with a bang (literally) as the grand kids took turns swinging at a pinata.
All the girl cousins with Alison.
All the cousins with the bride.
 I'm so lucky.
 Love my handsome husband.
Caroline got cold and wore daddy's jacket.
 Brett and his sister Alison.
I was able to make a quick visit to my bestie Felicia before we headed out of town. We both had babies about a month apart. If only we lived closer!
