Lots of News

Caroline and her bestie Bekah on their last days together, good thing they are cousins and will see each other often!!

Well to start, we are FINALLY finished with Brett's six month training program. I say we because it has truly been a joint effort to make it through this long journey for our family!! I am so glad to be in the next phase of our life, and to have Brett home with us at nights, not just on the weekends!! We are now residents of Louisiana, yep the past two weeks have been quite chaotic for us, we went from Brett finishing his training and still not knowing where we were going to be relocated, to the company finally telling us we were going to be in northern Louisiana, to having only a few days to pack up our things, find a place to live and be there for Brett to start work. Needless to say, it has been quite the stressful time for me- I would be lying if I didn't say this has been a really hard transition for me. I have known all along that we would be moving at the end of this whole thing, I guess because everything happened so fast it didn't really hit me until we were already here, away from family and living in a totally new and foreign place. Even though where we live is only a few hours away from Dallas neither Brett or I had ever even been to Louisiana before now. The past six months have definitely been a test of my faith. I have learned I have to trust in my heavenly father and his plan for our family and things will work out, (even if it isn't what you had planned). We have now been able to settle down a little, just in time for things to get all crazy again with a new baby right? We were able to find ourselves a little duplex that will do for now and a really great doctor which was my biggest worry about moving at 36 weeks and we have been able to meet a few nice families in our new ward already. We are enjoying exploring our little town and life with just the three of us before we become a family of four.
As far as a pregnancy update goes, I am doing well, 38 weeks along now, bigger everyday. I have been able to see my doctor here 3 times now and feel really lucky to have someone I like. The baby is 6 pounds already and I am dialated to one and a half centimeters so we are just in the waiting game of things to see when this little guy is planning to show himself to the world. Also, we have finally decided on a name for him- Gunnison Carl Larsen will be his official name, but he will go by Gunner. We can't wait to meet him!!

The Zoo

Emily and I took our girls out to the zoo the other day. It was so much fun, literally almost no one was there, the weather was beautiful and the girls really enjoyed being together and seeing all the animals. Let me tell you, these girls really are the best of friends!!

Caroline really loved playing in the water
Happy girls

This big guy came right up to the window to say hello to us

A little update

A few cute pictures of Caroline all ready for church last Sunday

As of yesterday I am officially 30 weeks along in the pregnancy. Finally in the 3's. I am feeling very tired and very big these days. Part of me can't believe that I am so far along already and so close to this little guys arrival, but the other part of me is thinking, do I really have 10 weeks to go? The baby moves around constantly, a very active one already. I am starting to get very excited and nervous about being a mother of two. After work today, Brett will only have 5 weeks left in his training!! We are so ready for this adventure to be over, and glad to be seeing a little bit of the light at the end of the tunnel. Hooray for today being Friday!! And my sweet Caroline is doing great these days, quite the independent adventurer, she has to see and get into everything, she wants to know what this does or how that works. Quite curious, but alot of fun, she is developing such a cute little personality, so glad she is a part of our family!!

Vacation

Last week we ventured out to Utah for the return of Brett's sister Alison from the Ukraine Kiev mission. What a reunion, with the exception of one brother in law who couldn't get away from work, there were 25 of us all together. It was fun and crazy and the weather was so great, I was a little sad to get back to the still high 90's here is Texas, which I am so over by the way, I want to wear pants and play outside with my sweet Caroline without sweating please, and I want to do it all before my son is born!! We also went to Jordanelle for some water and sand fun, got to make a quick visit to see grandma Evans and a few other friends and Caroline got lots of time playing with cousins and really loving grandmas basement of toys.

A girl, her dad and his truck

Caroline absolutely loves her daddy and his truck. Its like that primary song "I'm so glad when daddy comes home", she is so happy and excited to see daddy and his truck when he pulls up to be with us for the weekend!! With the new job and only seeing Brett on the weekends we have really come to appreciate and love our family time and being together!! We are now officially halfway through week 15 of our 6 months training program, which means we are more than halfway through!! We only have about 2 and a half months to go, which is still alot but we are hoping in goes by fast because we miss Brett!!

Caroline loves it when daddy works on his truck and she can play in the drivers seat

Pink or Blue??

Caroline is checking out the sonogram pictures. Can you tell? Boy or girl?

Thanks mom, I'm done looking at the pictures
We are excited to announce that Caroline is going to have a little brother. We are not set on any names yet, boys are hard for us, but there are a few we like. Brett was so excited he wanted to go out first thing in the morning and buy the little guy a nascar and camo outfit so he could come out into this world in style. It was fun to buy some boy clothes. I am 20 weeks now and doing well. The little guy just barely started kicking last week and he is quite active.
